ABOUT US AT SHEILA’S CELTIC WISDOM

Hi, I’m Sheila and technically I am Sheila’s Celtic Wisdom, however like in Astrology there is really a lot more to it then meets the eye. The beginning starts with a long lineage dating back thru the centuries to the country of Ireland, as one of my uncles used to say, "you were born with the map of Ireland on your face. In my family our Irish heritage was very important with many discussions about religion, politics and the little people, any of which could led to arguments of monumental proportions. When I was a child I learned that the "gift of second sight" was very common among my relatives, the "gift" seemed to show up in the men as often as the woman of my family. I came of age during the tumult of the 1960’s and found a renewed interest in The Tarot cards, Astrology and other psychic phenomenon.

I went to college and became a nurse while raising my daughter as a single parent. I worked as a nurse for many years while doing Tarot readings for family, friends and co-workers, working Astrology charts occasionally as a hobby. About five years ago I had an accident and was unable to work for quite a while, I had to look closely at my life and make some needed changes, knowing I would not be going back to nursing I started on a journey of getting to know my self and the world around me. In this learning process I actually moved from one side of the country to the other, relocating to be closer to my daughter, son in-law and grandsons. I had always dreamed of having my own business but I never had the self-confidence that I could really achieve this. Sheila’s Celtic Wisdom was actually born while sitting at my daughter’s kitchen table, it started as a very small seed and over a period of about two years it grew in to a real business. I have had incredible support from family, friends and some very special people along the way. This business was built from scratch and would not have been possible with out Julie and Aaron who not only believed in me but also provided the much needed technical skills to put up this unique and I believe special web site; and to Sean and Seth who have listened to my endless lectures that only a Leo can give and given up many hours of precious phone and computer time to help get this business off the ground I thank you. To all my friends scattered from California to Maine, special thanks, you all know who you are; your much-needed support is greatly appreciated.

My Daughter Julie Gilmore, painted the beautiful flowers on this page. She also painted several of the painting scattered throughout this website. Julie is the Mother of my handsome teenage Grandsons, and married to Aaron, Webmaster for this site. My Daughter Julie, besides being a talented artist, possesses many psychic attributes resulting from her Irish heritage. My Son-in-law donates many hours to changes and additions to this site.
